One Story A Day is an independent personal project where I select any ordinary thing and create a story around it. One Story A Day project is meant to demonstrate how business and product storytelling can be done & how effective it is. I do one product story every day 🙂
I swear to you I didn’t even count my things or even so much as look at them. I was so frantically busy, packing all my stuff together, throwing them in the stipulated 2 suitcases and 1 cabin bag. It’s not easy, I tell you, it’s not easy at all to pack your entire life (let me mention again in case you forgot: within 2 suitcases and 1 cabin bag ONLY!) and move to an entirely different country on a different continent.
But I did it!
I made the journey for 5000-effing-miles and moved from India to Poland!
And had a blastful one glorious year there. Met handsome men, made lovely new girlfriends, got robbed, talked to local people using Google translator, and much more!
Then, Berlin called out to me. Time to pack the entire life again. Clothes, books, shoes, files, papers, laptop, chargers, Indian spices, cosmetics. Just dump it all in the bags and take the train already!
And Berlin has been another soul-stretching year! Hiking trips. Bicycle trips. House parties. Night drinking at Brandeburger Tor. 2-week holidays to Spain. Weekend escape to Bremen.
Life truly is a journey.
And then, in a quiet moment, you suddenly realize:
How far you’ve come! How many experiences you’ve had! How many journeys you’ve taken!
And through all this, were your belongings.
Like these plain, simple ballerina shoes. Simple, strong, functional ballerinas.
Walking with you silently through all those hiking trips, international trips, through those airports, those parties. You suddenly also notice them in your photographs too.
They are always a part of the journey all along. I wasn’t alone. And neither are you. Thank God these ballerinas walk with us! Thank God!
