For those of you who want to achieve more IMPACT in their business presentations

Giving a business presentation in English?


I know you must be uncomfortable. It is not easy to speak to a group of people, about business, and look smart (very difficult if you keep stuttering and fumbling during your presentation) and convince the audience of your idea.

Finally, you just end up sincerely hoping for things to go without-any-disaster on stage, and you’re afraid that people will

  • giggle right in your face,
  • look at each other and roll their eyes,
  • wait for you to just shut up and never show your face again to them,
  • gossip among themselves that have no right to live at all!

Isn’t it?

Now this gets worse. It can become:

  • people throwing shoes at you
  • people putting your picture (or your presentation) on youtube and having a big, fat laugh at the worst presentation in the world, ever
  • no one will talk to you at the end of the presentation
  • everyone will sit there wondering how they even allowed you to come on the stage


When you give a presentation in a language that is not your native tongue – like, for example, English.., you don’t just have to master grammar but a few more things.

Most people think learning English is about learning the grammar and that’s it, they will be speaking like Morgan Freeman.


Learning the English grammar will NOT automatically make your presentations mesmerizing.

To be a better presentor for any situation – like an investor pitch, marketing presentations at conferences, sales presentations to prospects, any damn thing – in English, you also need to build an acute understanding of:

  • stucturising your content in a way that reflects the question pattern of the audience – which is different most times
  • being respectful yet strong in everything you say
  • generating curiosity with what & how you say
  • engaging the audience

So it’s a lot more than what you thought. Try to build in a logical storyline that constantly asks and answers questions. One easy method of doing this —
