D’you know what the phrase ‘leap of faith’ means? If you don’t know, no worries; mummy’s here.
Leap of faith means when you believe in something that most likely has no logical basis as per real life facts, and you take action towards it. For instance, you might be a waitress in a small-time shady fish n chips store but you believe you want to be a Hollywood actress. Your faith is that you are good enough and deserve to be a Hollywood actress. But real life facts show no logical evolution of your waiting career (the career of being a waiter/waitress) into a movie actress. You leave your job and go to Hollywood to look for work. So that is a leap of faith — doing something totally on the basis of your faith, something that you believe in. Got it?
You can read about Martha Beck here. The woman’s worth reading.
I came across her article on Oprah Winfrey’s website and I think you’ll learn something from it. I would love to copy-paste the whole article here but I don’t know if that’s going to put me in any kind of legal trouble. So I’ll be safe and just give you link.
